hello. was wondering if anyone has heard of “lucid”. it seems like it’d be mostly a joke seeing as how it was the first absinthe legally sold in the US in over 95 years. But we serve it at a bar that i work at in new york… but wanted to find something out about it before i make the bad idea to try it then hate absinthe forever.

This 1896 advertising poster for Absinthe Robette, designed by the Belgian posterist Privat-Livemount, is perhaps the most iconic image of the Belle Époque. The beautiful semi-naked woman doesn't just look in awe at a glass of absinthe; she looks through and past the glass, into the new era that the curious green drink symbolized.
